Health Enabling for Listening Professionals (HELP)
An experiential workshop for those who bear witness to others’ stress and trauma
Anyone who works with people in trauma can experience Vicarious Trauma. Serving over 6,000 victims a year, the staff at The Denver Center For Crime Victims is on the front line witnessing the trauma of others. In 2001 the agency took a proactive stance against Vicarious Trauma by implementing a self-care program for staff and interns. Out of this philosophy HELP was created to provide self-care coaching and training for those in the helping industry.
We offer customized workshops for groups of six or more. Our office or yours at a time that best fits your schedule.
Our powerful full-day workshop provides professional service providers such as translators and interpreters, first responders, EMS, social workers, victim’s service providers, attorney’s, family therapists, nurses and all helping professions with education about Vicarious Trauma and proven tools to reduce compassion fatigue, burnout and increase job satisfaction.
